Privacy Policies (PP)

It is now law to have to hold a Privacy Policy particularly if you hold any private information of your clients.  A Privacy Policy is required if you keep client details.  Details such as date of birth, health details, credit card details, financial details.  Or ANY information that can not be accessed publicly.

As at 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) was introduced,  It provides increased transparency for data protection for all businesses transferring data to the Europe Union. While the GDPR and the APP share some similarities, “your Company”  needs to be providing robust privacy policies.  Plus procedures for its staff and clients. This includes ensuring that it conforms to all required APP’s. including the provision of a clearly expressed and readily available (PP). This is completed by the provision of this (PP) Manual.  Finally, if you hold any private information of your clients you must have a privacy policy.

An APP privacy policy is a key tool for meeting APP 1’s requirements.
